"Love and fear cannot pass through one door."

György Sebök passed away on November 14, 1999. He was clearly one of the most eminent pianists and educators of the last century.

I attended his masterclasses in Amsterdam and Switzerland over a span of nine years.

In the summer of 2000, I returned to his beloved Ernen in the Swiss Alps to honour him by playing a memorial concert. This recital was recorded and released on CD.

The strength of his personality continues to fascinate, nourish, and inspire us to be able to take the next step again and again.
