  • ''May I again congratulate you for your beautiful and, at the same time, provocative interpretation of the concerto? You are the seventh pianist whose interpretation of the original I have a recording.  I've heard only one performance in person, that of Alan Lefevre in Tampa, Florida about ten years ago.  I'm moved to borrow a critical device of the late Harold C Schonberg of the NY Times when in 1967, he heard Horowitz, Michelangeli and de Larrocha play recitals in Carnegie Hall in the same week.  "Mme de Larrocha was not the least of these!" Yours is not the least of the seven! … I'm grateful for those tempi, which enabled hear a host of details, inaudible in every other performance of the first version that I've heard.”
